Dear SC Where, oh where, can I buy your delicious products? Desperate, Darlington
Dear Desperate Take a look in your local supermarket, honey. The scrumptious Skinny Cow desserts are available at most major supermarkets across the UK Not all branches stock every product [crazy, I know!], so it’s a good idea to ring their customer careline first to find out which of their stores is savvy enough to have your favourite goodies. And if they don’t have it in a shop near you, well, let them know they’re missing out!

Dear SC I can’t see Skinny Cow in my local store – help! Confused, Cotswolds
Dear Confused TI understand your pain. There’s nothing worse than craving a Skinny Dipper and not being able to get your hands on one. Before you panic, try checking with a friendly supermarket employee – it may be hidden on the shelf, or still in the stockroom. Alas, it may be that they foolishly don’t stock Skinny Cow. You can then ring their customer careline to find out which of your local branches sells the product you fancy.

Dear SC I’m not lucky enough to live in the UK, where delicious Skinny Cow products are freely available. Where can us non-Brits purchase your lovely stuff? Anon, abroad
Dear Anon I’m sorry to hear that, Anon. How upsetting for you. However, if you’re a resident of America or Northern Ireland, you’re in luck! Skinny Cow is available in various stores in the States and in Tesco in Northern Ireland.

Dear SC Skinny Cow tastes so amazingly delicious, I have trouble believing it’s low calorie. Exactly how many calories are in your products? Curious, Castlefield
Dear Curious I know, it’s hard to believe that something that tastes so good can be so low in calories. But believe it – all our desserts are only around 100 calories per portion (and our hot chocolates are around 40 calories!). And if we can make them mouthwateringly delicious with fewer calories, then that’s what we do: for example, our Skinny Dippers are 65 calories per portion.

Dear SC It’s me again. OK, so there aren’t many calories in Skinny Cow products... but surely they must be full of fat? Curious, Castlefield
Dear Curious Honey, you’re persistent aren’t you? Not only are all our ranges low in calories, but they all contain less than 3% fat. If we can’t manage that, we don’t produce the dessert. Simple as that.
|
|
Dear SC So if they’re low in fat, have you just pumped a whole heap of sugar into your products to make them so tasty? Sceptical, Scarborough
Dear Sceptical Not at all! We’ve kept the sugar at similar levels compared to standard desserts, and replaced the fat with a completely natural ingredient called Inulin (iced desserts only). We’re good to you like that.
|
|
Dear SC Thanks! Oh, and what’s inulin? Sceptical, Scarborough
Dear Sceptical OK, here comes the science: inulin is a fibre-based ingredient derived from chicory which has a very low calorific value and cannot be absorbed by the body. It’s what gives it that lovely creamy texture, dontchaknow.

Dear SC I want more! When will you be launching more of your gorgeous products? Excitable, Eastbourne

Dear SC I’m on the Weightwatchers programme and my best friend’s doing Slimming World. Can you tell us the points/syns value of your products? Curvy, Crewe
Dear Curvy I’m afraid we just don’t have the information to calculate the values for the specific diets, but we’ve given all our nutrition details to both organisations, so take a peek at their websites to find out the point/syns vales

Dear SC I’m vegetarian – can I eat Skinny Cow? Veggie, Vauxhall
Dear Veggie Of course dear – all our desserts are 100% vegetarian

|
Dear SC I’d like you to tell me about your stance on recycling please. Eco-friendly, Edinburgh
Dear Eco-friendly Never fear, we take recycling very seriously. All our cartons are made from recycled cardboard and our wooden sticks come from a sustainable wooden source. You can also recycle the packaging once you’ve scoffed the contents, but unfortunately it’s very difficult to find somewhere that will take the pots at the moment. Why not write to your local council and tell them to get the necessary equipment sharpish?

I want to export Skinny Cow.
It’s great that you’re interested in our products. However, there are no plans to export Skinny Cow at present, and any future exports will be planned strategically as opposed to through ad-hoc requests. Sorry.
